Hi Guys
After much consideration in turning my E82 135i into a 1M i restrained myself and realized it was too much of a nice example to take on such a build.
I wasn't even sure on selling it but then a few of weeks ago a friend of a friend called to enquire about it and the next day it was sold to him.
Since the Z4MC and M4 I had an itch for another M car and was seriously considering an M4 Comp but then randomly out of nowhere i started thinking of OG M2s after seeing a couple on the road the same week, I always preferred the look of the M4 over the M2 but after owning the M4 i did find it bit bulky and if I owned another it would be solely used as a weekend warrior, I work from home so rarely do over 100km a week anyway and my logic was the M2 could also be used for short trips to runs errands as the 135i did. ( the core of both cars are essentially the same, N55 mated to a dct box).
I really wanted a manual and looked at the he only one I knew for sale but after learning the front end had a respray i was a bit skeptical.
Introducing my new to me F87 M2 LCI in long beach blue
First Thoughts: I absolutely love it, Its a balanced, fun and has playful character that just makes you remember why you love driving so much.
It does lack the oomph of the S55 but also doesn't have the seriousness of it.
Future plans: I don't intend on keeping it long term but will definitely be taking care of it and doing some subtle mods whilst in my ownership.
been driven in the rain recently so will take better pics once i get a chance to do a proper wash.
