Hi all...

First post...

Recently bought a used 320d e90 with 170000km's on the clock

Alot of people with the mechanical know-how have advised against this purchase but I took the road less travelled and got it.

What should be my concerns?

Hi and welcome, the car looks great, I particularly like your wheels lol.
They are awesome cars that can give you many happy miles. If it's an auto I would suggest an oil change on the gearbox. Also save up for a vibration damper pulley if it's has not yet been changed.

You are speaking to the wrong people.

These are great solid cars. As with age a few things will need to be changed here and there. Look after the car it will look after you.

Use good oil when doing your service. If you have the cash change the oil between intervals.

As Rayzor said above. If Auto gearbox service around 100k km.
change the Vibration dampener before it goes.

Enjoy the car. it looks great. :clapper:

Thanx guys

The car is a manual. I'll have to check if the vibration dampener has been changed. The dealer didn't tell me much about the history of the car.

So I'm hoping the local BMW dealer can pull out the service history of this car

If the car is on your name you can register here:

www.bmw.co.za/ownerscircle/

Once it has been approved you can check the history yourself when you log in.
