Hi Guys

Feels like my first AA meeting...

Hi, my name is Paul, its been a few years since I owed a BMW and as such been a few years since I could post on BMWFanatics. Although I never lost touch with the site and always prowled the for sale section and other interesting reads.

There's been 2 very near buys for me in the last 6 months from the site's for sale section but none materialised, one for being to late and the other for head winning over heart...

With that said and done, I have acquired myself a 1 owner e46 2001 330i with 156xxx km's that I believe is in a good nic and a good base for me to start from. We will be flying down to PE this weekend to go fetch her and drive her back to Cape Town.

The idea with the car is to use it as a daily drive so that I can save my family vehicle for weekends and holidays. The second objective is to have a daily that has a bit of a fun factor that can be used on Killarney track days to scratch the itch a bit and to see where it takes me without having to sell my soul.

Issues I know of that will need attention as it stands now (had the car checked out by a PE based dealer, knowledgeable of BMW's)
1. Roof headliner sagging at the back and will need to be reupholstered.
2. Diff is noisy (dealer says diff, owner said CB, will have to check it out in CT)
3. Bonnet have stone chips on it that will need to be takin care of.

That is pretty much the list of things that will have to happen asap.
I had her oil and oil filter changed by the dealer in PE that checked the car out for me and also assisted me with doing roadworthy in PE to make sure all checks out before I hit the road back to CT.

Some pic's of the old lady as she stood at family of ours house in PE on Sunday morning after he washed her for me.

I hope you guys like her as much as I do, and now can't wait to go get her and enjoy beyond starring at the pictures on my laptop every 5min.

Great buy! The happiness that an E46 330i brings is priceless. Maintain her well and she'll put a smile on your face daily.
