hi guys

i got a major problem BMW SA has canceled my motor-plan due to the conversion i did to my 135i but the only thing they saw was the custom exhaust and meth injection, they could not find the re map. i would like to know Wat can i do to re instate the motor-plan and i heard that the motor-plan is 30 percent of the value of your vehicle can i get that money back from BMW?

please help:dunno:

thanks

Best bet would be to read trough the terms and conditions of the motorplan and see if there is any possibility of re-instating it.
If they do they will probably no longer cover anything related to the engine or the drivetrain, maybe even more.

But in my opinion they won't re-instate, and don't even think about getting any money from BMW.

Why do you fit a custom exhaust and meth to a car that is still under motorplan?

:slap: nope silly person - any mods will null and void, they would have explained when you singed the motorplan section...they have to, if they haven't explained you would have not signed.:dropjaw:

What kind of custom exhaust? Complete exhaust? Mufflers only?

Its going to be very expensive maintaining a 135 without motorplan. Get a qoute from Hollard and others as well.

What was the circumstances under which they cancelled your plan? Did the car go for servicing? Warranty/repair work? Which dealer reported the mods?

Out of interest; is your meth installed underhood?

hi

its a complete exhaust and yes it went for first service it was not the dealer that reported, bmw sa walked in while the car was there, the meth is hidden but he asked for the bumper to be removed thats how he found it, shit happens at-least i got the car still. and the macs at bmw said that they would service it privately so its cool.

Just my opinion but you should have just went for the performance remap offered by BMW, may have fed you craving for more power until the car was out of motor plan

I am afraid you will have one hell of an uphill battle to try and re-instate that Motorplan. I doubt they will do it at all.

Also, I don't think you will get any money back from BMW at all.

Sorry.

and this is EXACTLY why I keep on telling everyone to not mod their cars while under motorplan.
If you can afford to dish out the $$$ if something goes wrong then fine, but if you bought your car and you really need the motorplan like I needed it, then don't mod it.
Good luck there mohamed.

Shitstreet... paddle without... your up it :cursin:

Sorry dude, your screwed, no onbudsman or anyone is going to be able to pleed your case, BMW is also not going to give your cash back, they have no obligation to, you are in breach, not BMW.

I suppose a DP could have "overlooked" the exhaust, but the meth injection I believe is what killed you...

I have had it as well that say you put a big boom box into your BMW, with permission, you can do so, and Motorplan will stay in tact, but you void the audio and parts of the electronic/wiring section, but you violated primary mechanical, hence...

I am bent the opposite. :excited:

There are many and I mean many modifications you can do to your car safely and without risking your precious motorplan.

1. You can fit a Bmw performance or Snitcher exhaust without any problems from bmw. I also agree with ZL that it was the "meth" that jeopardised you not the exhaust. The exhaust would have just been a waranty item being questioned with a note. Removing the cats are problematic because they directly impact on the overall performance of the car. But there are safe ways around it. :mmm:

2. You can have your car chipped and cooling system upgraded by bmw without any waranty issues or Snitcher. Or go piggyback!

3. You can install a complete aftermarket suspension from bmw or bilstein or another make without any issues to your motorplan as long as it is installed by the dealer.

4. You can install new bmw performance rims which are bigger and lighter than the stock ones without any motorplan issues.

5. Throw out your seats and replace them with amazing yet expensive racing sport seats from bmw without any issues.

6. Replace that ugly steering wheel with all the F1 bells and whistles without any issues.

7. You can replace many parts of your car with carbon pieces internally and externally without waranty or motorplan concerns.

8. Change out your stock audio for a brilliant Logic 7 system with extra tweeters without any issues. :thumb:

9. You can replace most stock light bulbs on your car without risking anything as long as they dont throw error codes.

10. Replace you front and rear bumper for better looking performance ones without risking your motorplan. :dropjaw:

11. Replace your gear knob & hand brake lever with a fresh suede & carbon look without any motorplan crap.:thumb:

12. Finally, there are many aftermarket performance parts which can be safely installed on your car with zero issues and concerns.

There you have it, I have just modded an entire 135/335 without ANY motorplan implications.

When in doubt, pop in at your local dealer and ask their advice. Most BMW dealers now have a dedicated person right there that is trained and knowledgeable about your motorplan & warranty. There is no BMW conspiracy against modding as people want you to believe. To inquire is FREE, it will not expose you. It is your damn car after all.

If you are really not the asking type, remove ALL mods before services or repairs; including your carbon bits...:)

sorry dude...hope you dont experience all the other common problems that a few guys have had...no way they are going to re-state your mplan, knowing how many x35i have been returned for repairs.

Dude drop me a pm. I spoke to a friend of a friend yesterday that told me a way of possibly getting your motorplan reinstated and it's 100% legit. No dodgey business.
