Motorplan Extention

Hi Guys

Still looking for an E92 M3. Havent had much luck in finding a decent one in my price range that still has motorplan.:thumbdo:

I need some advice regarding Extending the Motorplan on a E92 M3,

1: How much will it cost to be extended by one year?
2: how much would it cost to Extend by 2 years?
3: If the motorplan was extended by 1 year, ie 6 years total , How much would it cost to extend to 7 years (one more year)


Please note this is only for Time Extension as I do not do much mileage so I will not need to extend the KMs.

I am looking to purchase a 2008 but preferably a 2009 M3 with motorplan even if it has 6 months left on it, so I can extend the plan if need be or sort out any issues while still on plan then take an aftermarket warranty.

Also are there any Fanatics that work at BMW or that would be able to check vehicle for service history and comments if I get the VIN?

Thanks, Thats quite alot per year.

But still worth it I guess if you think about how much it costs just for things like replacing bearing and brake discs etc and piece of mind.

It's even more when you have to extend with km as well

Its hard to tell but the thing to remember that you can only extend by a year only at a time and this can only be done 6 months prior to the end date...
Saying that means that if you pay 17k as stated above (Not sure of the actual amount as i paid 16.5 k in January 2014 for a Z4m) it won't be the same price 6 months prior to you next extension....


It would be nice if you could do the 2 years upfront at once..

I just got a quote from BMW for R17.5 k to extend by one year

I'm honestly surprised that its only 17k for the 7th year extension on an M car.
Friend just extended his 135i for the 6th year with a cost of 14900.

at least now I know to look for an M with more than 6 months left on the plan.

I just got a quote from BMW for R17.5 k to extend by one year

Sorry think i may have confused you.... What i meant is that you can only extend it at a maximum of 6 months prior... So if there is a year left you cannot extend until 6 months or less is left....

So at 2 months left = Extend
At 8 months left = Wait until 6 months left

Hey bro, I went to look at a 2008 E92 M3 still on plan till the end of the year at Hillcrest Toyota. It was white with black leather, I cant remember the mileage but maybe if you give them a call on 031 737 1500 they can give your further details. They want R399k for it. The guys name is Dave Moodley.:thumbs:

The quote I got for my 2009 E90 335i to extend by a year was also R14k. My mileage was on 70 000km. I was told by BMW that the extension for the 7th year would be in the region of R23k.

Correct.... A bit of a crappy thing cause you could just get it out the way and purchase both years upfront at the lower rate but thats the pt i guess for BMWSA.... Make money and then more....

The quote I got was for extending to 6 years not for the 7th year.

I did see the white M at Hilcrest , Will give the guys a call today.

400k is too much though. I will bring them down.
