This. People just seem to assume that big BMWs just go around falling to pieces all the time...

My dad got the best deal I have ever heard of. Did the deal, traded the E90, final figure was R130 000 for the car. He was sooo chuffed with himselfzaleonardz said:Thing is these are at the bottom end of its depreciation curve.
You could actually buy one of these, and drive it for 2 years and sell it for the same price..
They have their issues, but that motor and gearbox is solid.... The whole car is solid.
Instantly, off the bat.
Front shocks... KAK expensive
Radio can and will break
Logic 7 will give shit
boot lid actuator will break
door support will need to be replaced
BUT......
All audio issues can be sorted out with an aftermarket at very little money
boot actuator you fix or deal with.
EVERYTHING else on this car is rock solid...
For the price, this is probably the best value for money you will ever get.
My point exactly! Buy a little car, maybe get aircon and more than 1 airbag, or go second hand and buy a proper car with everything and more that you'll ever need..zaleonardz said:Nope that's right...
Maybe a bit on the expensive side, but with the km, it is right,
04 730d going for 70k

I bought a 750 for 90k, it needed work, but was a bargain.
If you paid 130k with the mileage and excellent condition, you did well, it was a fair deal.
And if you consider that 130k is what you pay for a damm yaris nowadays, probably the best investment ever. Chris Bangle FTMFW
