Hi Gents!

Do you guys know of an mod friendly dealerships in Gauteng? I wanted to get water methanol fitted but will obviously run into issues with the warranty.

Good luck with that.

I think that no dealership will risk losing their franchise with BMW SA for the sake of one customer with a modded car.

too big a risk for the dealership.
sometimes you may get lucky and you get a mech who just looks past it if its something small, but then next time you get somebody else and bang, bye bye motorplan.

not worth the risk. :thumbdo:

Not worth the risk bud, last thing you want is for them to cancel your motor plan:thumbdo:

yuresh, you not from bmw sa by any chance are you?

:roflol:

no such thing as a mod friendly dealership. even if you did have a contact on the inside who turned a blind eye, bmw sa often send their people to the dealerships to keep checks. you mod your car you run the risk of voiding your mp. it is really that simple.

No such thing as a mod friendly dealership. Bmwsa keeps a close tab on almost all their dealerships these days because they feel they were taken advantage of with Motorplan claims in the past

That’s why there are so many boy racers buying VW.
You can do whatever you like.

There warranty plan is also not very strict. You can change the suspension and lose out on suspension damage claims.
You can do the exhaust and lose claims for exhaust.

Basically you lose the warranty for whatever you change but still keep warranty on other parts.

Go walk in to VW hatfield in Bryanston and see that 80% of the cars there are heavily modified.
