Hi All.

I just did a Manual throttle reset on my E90 320I. After starting the car " tramsmission limp mode" came on briefly and then off again, now the car is misfiring.....????????? How can this be?.. We put it on a Diagnostic and it shows Misfire cylinder 2. Is it possible that the software has been corrupted? or is it a machanical coincidence ?

A further diagnostics should reveal your issue.

I will be able to help out if you need.

What did you use to do the reset the adaption ?

this is what i did:

Insert key
Push Start ( no Foot On Brake )
Floor pedal for 30 Seconds
Push Start Again
Release Pedal
Wait 2min and start.

I did it to my friends 2007 320i e90 ( no problem ), mine however......Eish!

Maybe the problem is unrelated? Just because A precedes B it does not mean that A causes B. On my car the AC belt disintegrated cutting the lower radiator pipe, replaced the pipe, then one of the coil packs had packed up.

Its the ignition coil...........
Could the 2 be related or is it just a coincidence ?

Very strange...very.....

Thanks for the help guys...

I would think is just to separate unrelated things that happened close to each other, these things happens and with BMWs (the ultimate driving me crazy machine) it happens even more so.
