Hey guys.
My wife's 2009 Cooper S is back at the workshop to fix a massive fuel leak and to figure out what the funny noise is when it revs.
So the fuel leak is a result of an old injector seal, now sorted.
The noise was first thought to be a loose timing chain, which was replaced, for free (because it had just been replaced 3 months ago - under guarantee). Anyway, the noise still persists. Now my mechanic reckons it's the vanos. The only place he can get the part is the agents at about R7000. I want to go ahead and get it but if that's not the problem, then that is a hefty bill.
Anyone know where I can source the vanos at a lesser cost?
