I had a 2002 R53 with the following

17% Alta Pulley
2% Crank Pulley
JCW Injectors
BMC Carbon Intake
VDL Cam
Branch and Exhaust
GRS Motorsport Intercooler

Car went like a bomb.

check out www.outmotoring.com for mini performamce parts, not bad prices and reliable delivery. You normall get your stuff shipped to your door in 2 weeks.

When someone recomends a Focus ST for power, you should run away as fast as you can. :roflol:

Where you based ? I did a lot of research when I had mine simply because no one is SA was really interested in working with them.

Thats when I found outmotoring, Alta Pullye's for like $100 if I remember.

chipping is not going to give huge gains as boost is dependant on the SC Pulley size, When you change the Pulley, a chip will help.

If you need any help, send me a pm or we can discuss here.

LOL what a douche bag.

I agree with the other guys that Outmotoring has a good list of things to get, but yea it's pricey getting mods for Minis here. The induction kit I want will cost about R4k imported. Leaving my car stock seemed like a better option after that.

Keep us posted on what you do!

Intakes are expensive. I fitted a BMC CDA Intake on mine, Some modification to direct a cold feed pipe using the grill on the bonnet below the windscreen on the passenger side worked like a charm

dvst8, i must admit, that's pretty freaking clever! I wish i had thought of that when i had my Cooper S.

I had the Alta 17% pulley, 2 Oversized crank, decat (Which made it sound ORGASMIC!), and we fiddled with the flow direction to the intercooler. The thing was a little demon!

Gosh i miss it :(

So you're saying you have a JCW? If so, it's pretty much the best intake you can get. If you want a filter, the best to go for would probably be the Alta cone filter.

Well, like i said, best bet would be the Alta foam cone filter. Alta produce some seriously quality stuff.
