So Microsoft unveiled the New Surface Studio and Surface dial in the week, looks fantastic, truly innovative.

Are Microsoft and Apple swopping places as innovation champions? 1st was the Surface Pro which apple followed suit with a less impressive Ipad Pro, now we see something like this targeting an Apple stronghold of creatives. Hmmm.

:crazylaugh: the ads here in the UKthey say etter than apple at the end. :rollsmile: now thats advertising for you.
So i tooka look at them, very nice i might mention if thats what you want, very quick and the graffics are awesome.

Microsoft has a knack for coming up with great things and then killing them.

Apple and MS are trading places in more unexpected ways as well. I suppose I'm one of the few that has both a high end PC and a Mac. Even Creative Cloud applications have become as good if not better on PC... However, Microsoft has gone backwards in terms of UX by making everything touch-focused by default. Maybe traditional PC users are a dying breed but this relentless focus on touch and interface re-engineering in current products has been an annoyance. As I speak now, I require third party software to fix a long known issue where I have a taskbar on my middle screen and clicking the start button opens the start menu on my far left screen... one of numerous issues which might never be fixed... because who cares about high end setups when we can have touch devices... Just one of numerous issues....

Apple on the other hand has fixed a lot of the issues with their OS and generally improved the experience over time... even though they seem to have fallen off the wagon on the innovation front.
