Hey Guys

I need some help here. I want to install the MarkII TV /Nav System into my car (E39 530d), will this be possible without having issues with the main wiring harnus on the car?

I heard that I can just unplug my current radio (Full on board computer display and telephone build in) and plug in the nav screen as the wiring is the same. In the back where the shuttle is, I will hav to install the nav system, but the wiring is there already.

I first want to get advice before I spend money on the system and it wont work on my car.

Can anybody advise me on this?

It's not really that simple, the radio receiver needs to be relocatd to the boot with a new unit "BM53" or something, you will need the TV tuner (Which takes over from the missing OBC if just TV otherwise the nav does it), and trimble unit as well as all the wiring harnesses.

If you take a look at X5world.com they have many writeups explaining the procedure exactly.

It's easier to got for a MkIII or IV unit as they have the trimble built in and not a separate unit.

If you can get your hands on an entire MkII setup wires and all I can advise
