Mag colour change advise

Got a set of mags as shown in pic 1 (original Mini BBS 17s) and want to change the colour to anthracite (or very similar "greyish" colour) as shown in pic 2. These are split rims, so the part I want changed can be removed completely to be resprayed (which I would prefer).

Any advise who I can take them to and what is a reasonable price to pay for the colour change? I'm in Midrand/Centurion during the week, but can drop it off anywhere else (convenient) on a Saturday and pick them up after a week or 2 if I need to (as they are not on the car).

Colour I have:

Colour I want:
MIN_17_cross_spoke_anthracite_md.jpg

Oh, btw, here's the look I'm after (ito wheels), minus the dice of course :mmm: :

Looks good dude... I like.

Mag wheel repairs in Randburg should be able to help.

The mini in the picture (the whole package not just the wheels) , looks overdone with the spots and decals, yours looks far better...

Any news from the insurance ?

Yep, agree on the Mini in the pic being overdone - however, it was the only pic with the colour of wheel I wanted.

Insurance gave the go ahead to repair, so I should have the car back in about 3 weeks.
Spoke to the guys at Sanrose and they are ordering new bonnet, bumper, radiator, etc. Will check with later this week.

msm we need to talk about this :excited:

For the record, I'm changing to another OEM colour (or as close as possible), unlike your "Lenasia" edition wheels :)

I think spots on a mini look brilliant, reminds me of the rally minis of the 60s. Decals abit much though.

My Mini is red with a black roof. Seen a few with black mags and does not seem to stand out. Also, white looks good, when you have a white roof ...

The grey/anthracite stands out because there's very few cars with them on ...

They're a bit out of the way for me - avoid the city centre as much as I can nowadays, unless I really, really need to go there.

I would go "out of the way" for a good job! My bru in law sent his amg wheels to them and he was overjoyed at the job and the price too. Just my 2c... I do understand getting the job closer jus in case you need to go there a few times to check up.
