M5 going for checkup

So.....

After buying my car about a week and a half ago it already has to go for a service, checkup and a full diagnostic.:thumbdo:

Took it in to Evolution 2 Motorsport this morning and asked them to go through the car for me to see if I bought a dud.

I already received a call from them and was told that all the air and pollen filters are brand new and must have been replaced by the previous owner, they will just have to do an oil service:rollsmile:

The biggest problem is the gearbox mountings and the front control arm bushes that will have to be replaced, other than that the car is in great condition according to them:rollsmile:

Thanks to those that revered me to Evolution 2 Motorsport, I am already impressed by them. Just have to wait and see what the account will look like, but from what I can pick up on the forum they are reasonably priced.

I have only ever had great service from them, call you if something is wrong, etc. They even stripped my vanos system on my e39 M5 and repaired it, agents wanted to replace it at R15k and even told them you cant strip it which they argued against - turned out to be O-rings that had perished at 80 cents a pop!!!

R15000 WOW, dealers know how to rip people off. Only heard good things about evolution2 so far, friendly and helpful guys as well :thumbs:

Alec is excellent with BMWs.

I first met him in the early 80s when he was with BMW SA training technical staff for the dealers.
He subsequently moved to JSN as W/s manager before opening up E2 Motorsport.
What this man has forgotten about BMWs most mechanics working within the dealer network still need to learn.

Excellent choice.

Hi guys,

Got my car back from Evo 2 motorsport yesterday and what a difference a service makes!!!!!

I will definitely take make car there for all future services and work, the guys are very, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. :thumbs:

They fixed other small problems on my car that I didn't know existed and can now feel the car is driving and braking a whole lot better. To me it's a different car and I've only owned her for two weeks!!

I am expecting a quote from them today for the replacement of the front suspension bushes and the worn gearbox mounts.

Guys, if you want proper work done to your vehicles, take it to Evo 2 motorsport, you wont be disappointed.
