proper test is Golf 7R versus M4 on a sandy and wet 1/4 mile strip

To be completely honest, I was a bit disappointed when I first found out the M3/M4 will have a 6cyl turbo, partly because I was/is in love with the sound of the e9x V8 m3.. But dammit, this is typical BMW, I read the specs and see the pics online and immediately start picking at it and thinking "stupid BMW shouldn't have dropped the V8" but when I watch this type off results and hear that brutal sound under load (at some point I swear there was some V8'ish tone coming through) I am left with only one thought, I just can't hate any M car. Those Germans man.. jeeezz!

Amazing car and lap time. The video made me wonder how it compares to cars other than the RS5. So I did a quick google search which revealed some interesting information.

Some auto express lap times below:

The M4 is only 0.6s slower than the 2013 GTR.
