Good morning fellas
I trust that everyone had an awesome weekend and those lovely cars are treating you well
Sooo I had this dream years back when I had a e46M3 for 2 months, of owning a csl. but wasn't man enough to play with the rear wheel drive yet hence changing to the gti (was a pu$$¥ :fencelook: )
Well ever since the second attempt it has been nothing but amazing and over the course of the weekend and last week I learned I might be able to get something I've always dreamed of, the amazing M3 csl :joy:
I have no intention of letting go of my 135 as it can remain a daily, I've been thinking of getting a different daily and keeping the 135 for special occasions but after finding out about my promotion as you know things change and might be able to live one of my dreams
raise:
Now here's it, I've been looking but haven't found a single csl for sale or even hints of available ones :thumbdo:
Does anybody here have one or know of one that might be for sale and also what i can expect to pay for it?
I even went back to looking at decent late model e46 M3s but it's just not the same :nonono:
A friend of mine asked me why not just opt and get a decent early e92? The answer is No! It still is not a CSL and also its just something about that S54 6cylinder that gets my blood going :inlove: :inlove: the V8 is awesome but doesn't quite have the character the S54 has IMO.
Als I know the s54 is prone to rod bearing failure, was this also an issue on the csl? I intend on replacing rod bearings, water pump, oil pump and vanos service regardless of the condition, be it an e46 or an e92, just for peace of mind
Also anything else to look out for on these cars?
Any help would be much appreciated and I wish everyone an awesome week ahead
