So this past week at zwartkops therr was a new C63 - the oke would blast around the track for the first 10min then sit in limp mode for the last 10min cos of heat soak - the turbo are situated on top of engine bank and build up alot of heat.

the c63 is an awesome machine- will give its due.......BUT the //M power is just sensational - pure driving pleasure...........

now to start saving $$$$$$$

need hook up a nice white one with that exhaust from TMSS - #dreamcar

I don't understand how Mercedes, who revolutionised turbo tech in their F1 cars, can make such a cock up in their production engines. YOU HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY MERCEDES, USE IT!

Its not even about that. Do you know what they did with their F1 cars engines, and why they have been dominating F1 for the passed 2 years? It truly is revolutionary, I just don't understand why it has not been adopted into ALL their current engines.

It all boils down to engineering, and as you mentioned they should adopt their F1 brains into the AMG road cars!!! Sad though you pay a bar for a car that is gonna be heat soaked lets hope they identify this issue and rectify it as it is still early days for these cars, heat soak or not its a awesome car!

Very very good feedback for the M4 from owners regarding heatsoak or as they would say "what heat soak?"

If you take the subjective matter of styling out of the equation ... And I'd also take out price and fuel economy (do people care about fuel economy in this segment?) ... The merc then is on top ... It's so close tbh

Read comments about how the new C63 has its turbos on the top section of the motor and it causes heat soak issues ? The BMW M5 F10 has a similar if not the same setup and does not have heat soak issues from what we have seen ,could be another issue with that one?

Have not yet had the pleasure to drive the new C63 but it would be my preference if i had to choose between the M3/M4..

I might be biased because V8 twin turbo is just :grin:

Thus far, every head-to-head between the F8x and W205 has involved a C63S, which I think is a bit unfair. Despite this, in all of the tests carried out locally, and in all of the internationally shootouts I've researched, the F8x is a mere few tenths behind the 63S, at most. Would love to see an M3 battle it out with a base C63.
