Hi Guys

New to the forum. Good to see there is lots of BMW support out there.

I am looking to purchase an E36 M3 4dr or 2dr (reasonably decent condition). Can any one point me in the right direction (know very little about cars).

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy your stay. Check out the for sale section on the forum first, at least these are vehicles that are known, not too many nasty shocks, and loved. Look also at the what to look out for thread on the 3Fanatics section before you buy, avoid the most common problems and scams. Good luck, hope you get a good one.

Welcome to the forum Bud.

Things to check would be the vanos, rear shock towers, gear selection and all the electrics works. There are a few around so hope you come right.
Good luck.

Thanks guys.

Were can I take an M3 for an inspection and dyno prior to buying? Do you guys know of any reputable people/centres?

Don't mind paying for it.

I doubt a prospective seller will allow you to dyno the car. Why is the dyno important?

The AA can do a full point check for you of the car at a fee.

I dont think the any seller would allow you to dyno the car you got to be careful and take someone who knows bmws especially m3s. But the m3 is a great car if you manage to find a preloved 1 good luck with your search:thumbs:
