Howzit guys. I recently placed an order for an e92 m3:excited: here in durban. The salesman asked me if i would be available in a months time to fly to jhb to do the advanced driver training. Did any of you go on this course and what do they teach you? All he told me is that they teach you how to drive it properly and how to launch the car he says he honestly doesn't know much about it:dunno:. Need some info here please. thanks in advance

Nice buy bud! It is awesome firstly they give you a brief on the days events then a video session of the entire M heritage and where it all started. You will then go on to the track with one of the instructors with the same spec M as you drive as well as 2 passengers. If you get Christo then you on the money and will be pushed very hard taking the M3 through its paces. He will give you a run down of all the corners including braking points, turn in points and apex points as well as cornering speeds including entry and exit speeds etc. Very interesting. Then you get to do it with the aid of the DSC being switched on/off and depending on spec MDM mode as well. You will do 2-3 sessions as well as one where you pick a gear( take 3rd gear bud) without brakes around Kyalami, awesome. Christo will really give it horns doing a couple of HOT laps including a drift lap and catch up on the 335i lap(which by the way the 335i starts like a third of the lap ahead and then.....) You will do brake testing and how this effects your distance to stopping etc and then cones gymkhana style to show you how dsc works then lunch and off to the skidpan. ENJOY it is a jol especially if you really like pedalling the M3 on track!

No drifting buddy but it is almost the entire day and all worth it!

You go for almost 3-4 sessions on your own bud and believe you me they push you hard as they really actually want the best out of you and the car.

Great course, worth about R7k if you 'buy' it. Apparently you get it 'free' if you buy a M3... Congrats Sash, great cars!

:bravo:

:blab:Double that bud! Tyres last no more than 1500km's and Kyalami is a long way round so 300 laps maybe on a set if they lucky. Guess someone has to pay for the rubber.

my car was used by the dealer manager for three months before i got it ( basicly a demo) on that basis they said i dont get m3 driving course, you have to buy a brand new one. I think they could of made a plan to give me one, but i negotiated their socks off when buying the car so maybe they didnt want to lol. I must find out about the 330 one.
