Maybe the software is still adapting and has imposed a limiter for the first few 100 km's???
Or the fuelling/timing is out at that point and the ecu is going into protection...

What chip/software is it??

can try....try and take it to someone with a diagnostics machine and see if they can pick up any faults...Steves Auto Clinic also do Unichip so maybe they will check it out for you...if they open

I don't think Dastek needs to adapt cause it's a piggy back system....

Why did u go with a piggy back instead of just software???

sounds like somebody made a mess of your installation dude...take it back

yeah will do but he is closed thats the problem

Rather take it to someone else, find the problem then pay for it,when the place you initially took it to re-opens let them reimburse with what you had to spend to get the chip connected or setup correctly

Duigan brothers in Joburg, I think they also do Unichip or snails conversions. I know Duigan are still open, so maybe just phone them to confirm, but I know for a fact Snails does Unichip & they are arguably the best.

Why anyone would ever wany to unichip an NA M3 is beyond me. Whith a piggy you can't raise the rev limiter, or control the VANOS. All you can do is fuelling & timing.

Well, thats why we need guys like you to help out.

XPower, can you guys force a steptronic tranny to keep a gear (in manual mode) untill you change it? Like when you want to do a rolling run?

No we can't really change much on the gearbox control unit. I know there are some overseas companies that can, but there doesn't seem to be a big market for it.

Hmm, thanks for the info! Will you be able to raise the rev limiter on an auto?

The TCU (transmission control unit) will still shift at its predetermined set point, irrespective of the higher rev limit.
