M2 allocations - 2016

Does anyone know how many M2s have been allocated to South Africa for 2016

Who has their names down on a waiting list?

Hey bud, i spoke to Zambezi auto M division and they told me just go in and spec your car and it should be 9-12 months worst case..
For this year apparently 68 cars were allocated and all been sold, there is one or two for resale at a premium

i was told by BMW melrose that they are only bring in 50 cars a year and the first 2 shipments are sold out already.

I was told by a dealer in Cape Town that there is on average only 2 cars per dealership this year! And yes, they are all sold!

I've been in talks with Zambesi for a while as I was a little late to get on the lists which had to be done more than a year ago.

All the first set of cars that came through were instantly sold to these first comers and then I was told that the next set of allocations should come through in October which I'm hoping is me.

It didn't take long. Fouche Motors in Sandton has a LBB M2 on the floor for R1 399 k. A tidy R600k premium. The VIN number of the front windscreen has been tipexed over.....

The car at Ash Car Sales in PMB is a relative bargain at R1 250k. I will wait patiently in the line

Obviously done so not to trace where the car has come from. But those premiums are mad, i will just just wait as well.

JSN's fully kitted M2 sold in 3 min from what I heard and there is no indication if they getting any more.

Sold for about R1.4M but has a fair amount of extra's

Well maxed out on extras you get to about a mil or so. So it had a hefty premium added too. Plus JSN had list in excess of 50 people where the first person put down money over 2 years ago for the car.
