m135i Downpipe - Sound question ?

Does the pipe really make a difference in the sound of the car ? I am contemplating getting a down pipe. Not for performance just for the sound the car is already fast enough for me :rollsmile:

Yes it does. Turbo spool is audible + increase in throttle response.
You will need a cat fooler.

If youre after sound, then look at fitting a bmw performance exhaust...

DP and the exhaust will both give the car much better sounds.
The latter of course being MP friendly.
Also, you will need mini-cats at very least for the dp if you not running sw

Dp and performance exhaust...if you think the M135i sounds good now, you won't believe how crazy is sounds with mods.
2 KZN fanatics have dp and pp exhaust, one auto and one manual...currently the best sounding BMW in production. Will ask one of them to post a vid :inlove:

There is definitely more of a deeper tone at the coast, and this was noticeable with the stock system and more so with the BMW Performance system. Deeper richer note down there. :inlove:

Sounded like a different car.
So either m performance exhaust or move to KZN....:biglol:

Dp on the M135 sounds awsome, DP and MPE sounds fharkin insane.

Ask andz, his sounds over wild.

So my M performance and DP combo all fitted.
Did the MPE some time ago and DP a week ago...

Sounds amazing, now to put it on the dyno.
It does feel a bit quicker but not sure if its my mind playing with me.

Not planning on SW just yet so hoping ill be able to run with the A45's and the 7R's easily with just the DP addition.
