M Badge Wanted

You can buy it at a dealer. You would have to buy an M car, though. Owning an M-badge without owning an M-car is pointless and stupid. In the same way that buying a Ford and sticking on a BMW badge would be pointless and stupid.

Funny you should say that.

Maybe you should start collecting the other 8 m badges on every BMW with a MSport package. 7 if the car is A/T.

Also inform BMW to change the advertising on their packages to sport. not msport.

I have to agree with P1000 there. M Badge on the boot means M engine inside, apart from a few inconsistencies.
M kit does not make a car an M car.

I dont think anyone needs to inform BMW, as they already wont sell you can M badge for you boot.

To be honest i have always thought of sticking an M badge on a non, even one marked as a sport package as as wrong. Had a long thought about it and realized that if you have a M pack on why not. The M pack was developed by BMW's M division and therefore theres no harm in sticking an M badge followed by a 335i in this case. I mean its not hard to differentiate between which one is an M and which one just has the M package.

To support this point look at what Mercedes are doing. They are sticking AMG badges on c180 Kompressors that have the AMG kit on it. They totally "sticker bomb" the whole car with AMG on the wheels, door sills, steering wheel....

So sure man why not. If your a purist and believe only the M1, M3, M5, M6, X6M and X5M are worthy of the blue, turquoise and red badge then thats cool. If you have a M pack and you wanna show by putting the M badge before it, cool.

Guys, how about you stop flaming your own brand?

His car is a 335i M Sportspack. It has M badges from the factory littered all over it. Steering wheel, mag wheels and more.

What harm can an extra M badge possibly make? Its not he is putting it on a 320D without a sportspack for example.

As for him being embaressed I highly doubt that, if anything the 335i will make the real M cars embaressed.

Sensitive bunch eh? :thumbdo:

Just to be clear. I do not for 1 second want a m badge so that anyone will think I have a m car. That is sad. If I wanted another m car I would buy one.

Only people who have very little knowledge about BMW's will think a bmw with a msport pack is a m car.

There is also a huge difference in my view as to where the badge goes. I feel that it should be behind the numbering not in front.

I love the m badge and wish they also had one on the A/T gearlever as they do on the manual's.

BMW are forever handing out m keyrings when one buys a car with a msport pack.

Anyway, guess I should of left the can of worms closed. :)
