Looks like N55 is stronger than N54

Stock, 10 miles on the clock Terry's car did 219kw on the wheels on 98RON!

Here is a graph of Terry's N54 135i on the same dyno. About 18hp down and peakin earlier.

The car looks, is stronger on the dyno, but it is not faster!!!
The tunning of the N55 does not give the same results as the N54!!!
The only benifit will be with fitting a bigger turbo with out all the hassels of the N54 and only then will it stand a chance!!!
N54 is simply in a different class!!!

Look forward to see what all you tuners will get out of the N55 platform...I think a single turbo set-up is the way to go for our beemers especially if BMW can extract same power from a single turbo as oppose to 2 ...i guess also cheaper to maintain.:thumbsup:

Because it has a twin-scroll turbo. google it.

I don't think the n55 will ever do for the tuners what the n54 did, it might be stronger with a tune/sw only!!
But only time will tell, come on shervin when will we nbe seeing some sw, terry gets 60whp with a tune, I'm sure you'll do beter..?
