need your help or advice pls. i am possibly on the lookout for a nice family wagon. was toying with an x5 but from what i have heard its extremely expensive to maintain. so i am also possibly at an X3.

It would be an auto for my wife.

Any advice what to look out for or what to stay away from?

Whats your budget? Cash or Finance? Could possibly hook you up with a wholesaler if paying cash, not sure if they do financing.

Hi

I am sure i can find my own finance. do you have their details please?

The X5 and X3 cost for servicing is more or less the same, the old X3 consumption is better but the X5 drive is much better

If you are buying an E83 X3, make sure you budget approx R25k to replace the transfer case and negotiate price accordingly. It will eventually fail between 120k -150k mileage.
