Looking for a BMW x1 - Navy blue

Good day everyone.

So having previously considered a 320 or a 420 I have decided that a bigger vehicle would be better for me. I really like the x1 and came across a 2013 model last week in dark/navy blue which is the color that I wanted in any case. Unfortunately the dealer had already sold it by Monday. I am looking for an x1 ideally the Sdrive20D. 2013 model or onward.

Any advice on reliable dealerships would be appreciated, or if anyone here has such and is looking to sell

I believe the colour that you are referring to is Estoril blue

I don't ever recall seeing an Estoril blue on the X1... The colour is question is Midnight Blue Metallic, I know the exact car the OP is talking about.

The best specced E84 X1 I have ever seen. 20d Xdrive X-Line in Midnight Blue Metallic on Nevada Brown Leather with a ZF8 auto box + paddle shift + iDrive +++.. Mileage was nice and low as well.

Ideally, you would want a facelift e84 x1 so mid >2012 as that has the ZF8 auto gearbox...these are becoming difficult to find, or the owners are asking abit much for them...just because they are diesel and fits the SUV niche of the current market.

Whats your budget? I might have seen a few options...also, these specific cars are in demand...so you have to act quick when you see one.

Good Luck

Yes this was the one. So you can imagine my disappointment when it was sold two days after I made the query.

I have been advised that I should rather go for a white as it hides scratches better and therefore easier to re sell. I was also told that white is cheaper to insure, can someone advise me if this is true.

I can imagine man.. It has gone to good home where it will be looked after, for what that is worth :fencelook:

White is definitely an easier colour to maintain, as the paint appearance is more forgiving to daily battle scars.. That said, there are so many white X1's in E84 guise, the splash of colour is refreshing and something I would put up with for the differentiation factor. First I've heard that colour notably affects insurance premiums.. Don't let that be the deciding factor, rather look at what good vehicles are available at the moment in time (mechanics > appearance).
