Late turbo boost

Good day all

I have recently bought a 2002 BMW 320d.The car had a turbo replacement done about 20 000km ago according to the previous owner. My problem is,although I am not sure how the car is suppose to drive it feels like the turbo kicks in very late at about 2800 to 3200 rpm and below that the car is very sluggish and it is quite heavy on diesel.Where in Pretoria/Centurion can I find a reputable tuning place that can help me with this problem?

Regards
J.

i suspect a vacuum line that tore during the turbo replacement. or it could be the turbo actuator not calibrated correctly, was the turbo replaced with a brand new unit or was it a rebuilt unit.

Welcome to the forum man:bravo: Post a pic or two of your BM when you have time...

I reckon that it might be a vacuum leak somewhere that causes the “late” boost. Maybe just have the vacuum lines checked by Bosch hatfield or any other reputable BMW mech.
