In the spirit of Christmas, we have decided to give something back to the community by helping out underprivileged kids.
About the Charity Drive
We will be attending a children’s home in Frasers (Tongaat). This is an informal settlement and is a registered NGO. They operate solely on donations from the public. Every Sunday they feed 250 kids. Most of the time the meal is sponsored by the public. Most of the children don’t have parents and are living with relatives. There is about 150 boys and 100 girls between the ages of 1 to 16 years
What is required?
We would like to provide the kids with a meal on the day, a shoebox hamper and school starter pack containing a pen, pencil, erase and a ruler. Any donations are welcome. The cost of the meal is R900. The shoebox can contain sweets, chips, chocolates, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, face cloth etc. The value of the shoebox is capped at R75 to R100.
Do Not Include
Used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; out-of-date candy; fruit rolls or other fruit snacks; drink mixes (powdered or liquid); liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans

Time: Meet at 11am (PertroNorth)
Venue: APN Children's Home of Safety (Frasers Tongaat)
Plan:
1. We will provide the children (est 250 kids) a meal for the date. Cupcakes if possible for desert.
2. The each kid will receive a hamper in the form of a shoe box. These shoe boxes will then be handed out to the kids.
3. The kids are in need of a school starter pack ie Pen, Pencil, Ruler, and Eraser.
4. Any donations.
5. Any toys and or clothes
