What an awesome day we had! Big thanks to those that attended. Had to nurse some solid bruises when I got home lol.

And on a side note, have to agree with the posts above. Leave the kzn registry out, the guys that commit to events with their names on the attendance list then don't pitch up, it doesn't provide a very nice image for durban when we have a constant turn out of 8 cars all of whom are only regulars.

Come Durban, we really need to expand, I have mad respect for all the jhb and cpt fanatics that all band together and have exceptional turn outs for their runs. Ours is just pathetic really.
As a KZN mod I'm responsible for my region and its very difficult to promote our province's image when I only have 8 fanatics contributing to our BMW community here.

I can say so much on this subject yet I think it will be a complete waste of time. We have already had a few regulars stop posting on this forum because of this and some other issues but they still support us by staying in contact via BBM, WhatsApp etc. There are a few very disgruntled members in Durban at the moment because of the lack of support.

An open invitation to the KZN guys that don't attend events, please post your thoughts, suggestions etc or PM Yulz your views on this subject. Hopefully it can help us build a stronger community.

:thumbs: well said guys with 60+ members on the register we shouldnt have a problem getting alteast 40 members to attend unless most of those 60+ dont own bmws and have registered on our forum to spy on our mods

lets not focus on the negative and just plan good events the people will come as long as we have good events :rollsmile:

I think we should have another Karting meet they are great fun also... Just keep the events rolling

obviously it is also good to get input from those that do not attend and get ideas about how we can improve but we also need to be vary careful about not putting a negative spin on it... I for one dont care if only 3 people show up as long as we have a good time...

Shaun, appreciate the positive sentiment but the point of these events is two fold imo ie. have a good time and grow the numbers. We definitely have achieved and will continue to achieve the first objective however we need to make progress on the second and thus far we have not any success.

Open discussion would be good. Maybe Guys could tell us why they didn't come or couldn't make it. Maybe cause its too short notice, time of the event, location, type of event , etc. That way we can plan a bit more better in the future.

The point here is the kzn guys don't support any event with the exception of the usual attendees. We especially need more support when we do our charity runs. There is only so much 10 people can do. All I have to say is get you'll all are huge dissapoinntments in my eyes
