So the last 3 charity runs in 3 months were a figment of my imagination?

Anyway I think it might be best if 4th is our last run for the year. Consecutive meets only a week or 2 apart will not work due to availability of people, festive season etc.

So maybe focus on this event on the 20th for the few of you thats keen but plan a proper breakfast run for the 4th. Let it be the last one. Just my 2c.

I actually find your post offensive...esp since none of the kzn guys any any issues
What we are merely doing is throwing around suggestions to suit the needs of the entire group of us,that's why we ask the other guys what they want to do

and thats not even counting the 'unofficial' meetings that dont get 'announced' on the forum. almost weekly the durban guys meet for drinks, drifting, etc but because its not splashed on the forum 'nothing ever happens on the coast'. contructive critisism :ty: thanks we needed it.

Plenty happening at the coast! We have a small group of free thinking creative individuals whose opinion we value so when an event is being planned, we consider everyone's ideas. :tease:

The Durban guys have taken plenty of flack on this forum and sometimes justifiably so. We took this on the chin and moved on from there by hosting a few great events like the charity runs. We certainly don't need anyone to keep taking cheap shots at us especially when it should not really matter what we do to someone from another province! :thumbdo:

are we settled on the autocross on the 20th then? i did not ask the mods to change the thread yet because i knew we would need to discuss it 1st

Not to flame or add fuel to this but at that time we only had like 5 or 6 regular members and everyone was busy.

I don't see how that justifies 'nothing happens at the coast' and we all know the durban okes try freaken hard to host events. Just disappointing that many don't pitch.

Comments like that just leave a bitter taste in the mouth especially the few okes that really make an effort.

Anyway we should start a thread for the 4th soon.

I actually don't care about changing people's impressions. The regulars that get together on most events are truely passionate about the BMW brand, enjoy each others company and want to make a difference in the greater community that we live in. Whenever we get together, whether that be once a month or once a quarter and irrespective of the number of people / cars attending, we have great fun and make it a special ocassion. Most that have attended a KZN event or two will agree that I was a great day out. Therefore if Herr has an issue with us not meeting with him then he needs to get over that and not flame because we will defend our honour. However since he has not commented since his earlier post, I give him the benefit of the doubt and await his response. Rant over....

Anyways guys, I wont make the next event on the 20 Nov as I will be moving house on that weekend. I am looking forward to attending an official event again soon but I'm sure we will meet for a few "milkshakes" :drink: soon.
