KZN - Christmas Charity Run

Good day Gents

Firstly I do apologise for such late notice, we got the ball rolling rather late.

We have decided this year to embark on a charity drive called "Clothe-A-Kid" for Christmas 2013.

Details as below:

To consider making a difference in the life of a child from St Theresa’s Home this Christmas.

We have 72 Boys between the ages of 6 & 18 years old, our aim is to get a new Christmas outfit for each boy so that they can also feel blessed as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

The choice of store is entirely up to the individual or family, (Mr Price, Jet Stores and Ackermans have a wide range at affordable prices).

Should you wish to pick up the boy and take them with you on a shopping experience, this option is available.

A cash donation of R350.00 and we will take the child shopping is also an option.

Right so on the day of the run over and above the donation we also would need party snacks - chips, cooldrinks and some toys.

Let's dig deep into our pockets and help these boys this year guys.
We thought of treating it like a big brother program.

A Nice idea would be that we take them shopping with us on the day, buy them clothes, a toy etc and go for a meal.
This may be asking a bit much from you guys so please state how you would like to contribute.
To ease logistics, we can just take the clothes there along with party items, however the idea was to take them out for a change of scenery.

Once all donations are in we will be doing a breakfast run to the home in Newlands on Saturday 14 December 2013.
Details as follows:

Date: Saturday 14 December 2013
Time: 8:30am
Meeting Point: Petroport North Bound (Total Garage off N2 North)

Plan of Action: Meet at Petro, depart for the home at 9:15am.
Once we there we planned on taking the kids out for a spin, details on that will be confirmed. We will also be taking chips, sweets and cold drinks with us to have a small party with them.
Toy donations are more than welcome on the day as well.

End Time: 12PM

I'm attending and will get two boys something. I don't mind taking them on the day or even the donation. However I do lean more towards the taking them on the day. At least they will experience our cars and a day out.
