Hi Guys..
with the run being the topic of focus for the recent weeks on most Kzn members minds it dawned upon us a beautiful crisp morning and by 7-30 am most of the chaps had their cars at their favorite washes or doing it themselves for some of the hardcore chaps, big ups to guys who got there early and also those who drove a bit to come through... i managed to get to Petroport at 8-20am and some of the regulars were already there..

raise: approximately 10 or so cars and from then it was an avalanche of old members and new arriving and filling all parking spaces, some friendly banter was had amongst the members and by 9-15am Prevan (P Daddy) and Yulz called the meet to order expressing thanks to everyone who took the time out to be there on a sunday morning and also a word of caution to be safe on the roads as a few cars wore stickers of the forum and a few tuners..from there we exited Petroport and lined along the side of the offramp for a few quick pics...
we then departed the offramp after a few minutes on leisurely drive to sibaya casino about 15km away... thanks to all the drivers who kept it clean and for most parts everyone was doing 80kmh.. there was a few things we came across on the road that was unusual, ie, an e36 M3 and a 330ci vert both with camera men out the sunroofs or backseat snapping away.. a sight to see! :roflol:
on arriving at the Sibaya offramp we pulled of again and waited for all the cars to regroup and got another set of pics very quickly before driving up to the casino for the event,
the autocross was very well organised by the BMW CLUB KZN and saw some epic sideways moments by some talented drivers in cars ranging from fully drift specced e30bmw's to run of the mill Hyundai I20's...
our resident drifter, Joey "sideways" Govender also did us proud and handled that turbo 235is like a seasoned professional! well done Joey... at approx 1-30pm with the autocross drawing to an end the remaining members departed to the Dynowars event hosted by Gas magazine held at Autotrix in Briardene to witness the big power on the rollers. 2 of our members cars were run and the remaining members all departed at that point... The m3 with the 2jz motor was also there and was reported to have run in excess of 600kw...
all in all a massively Great day that was full of laughs, new friends and old...Thank you to everyone for assisting with marketing and word of mouth.. We getting better and growing bigger! till the next one chaps...
ps. an idea was thrown around of another midnite run or a BMW fanatics Dyno day... more to follow soon...
pps. our resident photographer Yulz and Alli has all the great snaps.. we all waiting in angst...
just look at those Beautys...
