Day 4 (1 Sept 2013):

Sunday (Spring day) was the "coldest" day - it was still 25C

Again we head south from Letaba via Satara camp to Orpen gate camp.

Another lovely sunrise over the Letaba river:

and some more naughty monkeys acting all innocent:

First up we saw some baby hyena's:

South towards Satara the veld changes alot and it's much more open therefore you also see different animals (Zebra's and Wildebeest):

Day 5 (2 Sept 2013):

Again we head south, during the evening there were about 9 lions drinking water at the watering hole right next to the camp, this was the next morning at sun rise:

A kudu bull - one of the most majestic animals to see - the horn are probably way past Rowland Ward Trophy size for a kudu:

Some wildebeest:

and impala:

Tea time at Tshokwane "tea room":

Heading south from Tshowane towards Lower Sabie is one of the best places to see rhino's - we saw at least 20. Here is one with a calf - I really need a decent camera with zoom for next time:

Lunch at the deck restaurant at Lower Sabie:

1274167_10151878910301354_2619411_o.jpg

And lots of baboons entertaining you with their "humanlike" behavior:

The view from Skukuza camp on the last night over the Sabie river:

Day 6 (3 Sept 2013):

Unfortunately it was time to head back home and there wasn't much to see on the last bit from Skukuza to the new gate a Haziview called Phabeni except from some rhinos and some crazy elephants:
1276107_10151878910851354_386730177_o.jpg

Then back home via Haziview, Nelspruit, Jhb about 600km

Really enjoyable trip. I've been to Kruger Park more than 20 times in the last 25 years but this was my first time since 2009. I still love the peacefulness and the atmosphere of the place. It's 2 million hectares!

Wish I can go more often. I would recommend to anyone that haven't been.
