Knocking Feeling from centre of car - 08' e90 323i

I own an 2008 e90 323i with 371k on the clock and things are starting to fail quite frequently nowadays . Seems every month or 2 it's something new. Can't seem to bring myself to move on to an upgrade. I love it!

I've noticed a knocking feeling under moderate to hard acceleration in 1st and 2nd gears only. When I say knocking feeling, I feel it through the centre arm rest when my arm is on it. It is very slight but there nonetheless.

The diff has started recently (whines under normal everyday acceleration/deceleration), keeping my journeys short and sweet. Do you think the knocking feeling is related or something completely different?

And the car is manual if that helps....

The clutch and flywheel/ transmission is located in that area. Are you experiencing any slippage when accelerating hard? Probably best to get her on a lift and have a look underneath, could be a prop shaft bushing/coupling wearing out.

have a look at your diff mounts, bushes, might be worn and what Bruce88 has pointed out.
