in this ad, the pic of the dash shows a speedo and rev counter BOTH infront of the driver compared to the GIANT speedo in the centre...

Is this common? was it optional extra? pepper or chilli? i prefer it to the giant centre speedo.

There are options for different gauges (oil pressure,etc) in the centre console, so its probably that.

Correct, it's called a Chrono pack. Chrono pack and the navigation has both the speed and the revs above steering.
Chrono pack shows in the middle the fuel, oil, water and boost gauges.

other than moving arount the differend gauges... does the "Chrono pack" have any extra gauges/ things over and above what the normal ones have? eg. boost gauge or oil temp etc?

Non chrono pack just have temp gauge and fuel together with the big speedometer

Weird spec'ed car. Buyer ticked the Chrono pack and full leather options, but left out xenons and the much nicer sports steering wheel. Different strokes for different folks I guess, but IMO my first option on a Mini would always be xenons followed by the 3 spoke steering wheel, then everything else depending on budget. I also think the standard semi-leather seats were much nicer, but everyone has their own preference.

Headlights look like this and have headlight washers, you can see the little chrome semi circle on the side of the chrome surround that sticks out a bit.

No thats for the R53. The R56 headlight washer is lower down and only has headlight and indicator in the cluster as below.
