Just got my JB4 G5 and BMS DCI

So finally took the plunge and got my hands on a G5 JB4 and BMS DCI.

Did the install this morning, was a bit finicky but if i had to do it again i bet i could do it in a third of the time.

Set the car to Map 2, so lets see how it adapts over the next few runs :)

Dont break the car on the first day. Put it on Map 5 and leave it there. How do you know it is a G5 board?

Yeah they say map 2 is usually a bit aggresive for a stock car, i tried map 1 and it was ok but was just curious what map2 would be be like.

:D the group is growing great

Hey Richard, how do you find the induction noise from your AFE? i wanted to get the AFE stage 2 very badly but the cost was prohibitive. The BMS DCI has a very subtle noise on spool up, not as pronouned as i thought it would be. The again i was maybe expecting a bit much after hearing the Gruppe M on my bro in laws Z4M.

Tonight doesn't look so great but I am keen to pop past tomorrow and go for a spin!

I know for my engine they say about 500km to get the ecu to adapt to change in hardware, how long roughly for yours?

ps: any pics?

Hey Liam,

No idea hey, done about 50km only on map5 at the moment so i assume it has a bit more to go to adapt fully.

I think about 50km or so. But trust me you WILL know! Set your Fuel gauge to display your boost. Once my oil temps are up I get 15 PSI on the gauge.

All cars are different but I know on mine on map 5 she breaks traction in second gear pulls!

If you have the USB cable with your JB4 you should do some logs as well.

I activated the fuel guage to show boost but it seems to be battling to hit 15psi, peaks around 13~14psi. Ive done around 150km now on map 5.

Think i need to plug in the laptop and see what the logs say.

What other mods are you running mo335?

Just the JB4 bro. Everything else is still stock. I'm sure after 150km she should be fully adapted now. Maybe you should try some OB!! The JB4 loves it and the car comes alive!!

same as mine but 14psi is nice and the car handles it fine. 16psi would be hectic and not something i would run all the time. i think with the right fuel mix and meth you could get up there consistently but i am not heading in that direction for my daily drive
