JB4 bmw 335i KAR results

So I was at KAR this weekend for the dyno day and below are my results.

Does anyone else have results to compare?

332.8hp 549nm

cant really say the Power Kit made much of an improvement over stock at all, reckon that JB4 is on my list soon.

There was a stock 335i coupe, 245hp and 409nm.

So your figures are on the up side...

Hi Twinz,

Was on map 5 and I used NF ultra with 30 litres of 95 BP, was too scared to go 20 litres.. :fencelook:

I worked it out to 247wkw...which in my eyes is very strong.

At wrctuning I was 178wkw and 178.6 wkw at ALB in roodepoort (stock)

So almost 70wkw gain!!

In that case that is a whole lot of power. :thumbs:
A pre-determined map 7; would have yielded more power instead of a variable boost map 5 (you can see this in your graph) but it does not matter, you have a good benchmark to start from in terms of your modding goals. :thumbs:

If you want comparisons, I have probably 3 or 4 graphs I can upload of cars we tuned on that dyno. The highest was 354hp with just software. Torque was 520NM. Pump fuel, car was run on the dyno stock, then chipped & run again. I recall 2 or 3 others we did that also made just over 350hp with software only.

Also the GIAC guys did a 335 that also made very good power on KAR dyno. Can't remember the exact number though.

Can I use map7 up at the reef?

Yes but you will need 104 or 109 unleaded octane. Get a 20l drum and give it a try.
I would even experiment with 95 pump & NF Ultra mix in a 20L drum. That should bring the octane up to at least 104.

Yip, will do. I haven't driven her much, couldn't have done more than 350km in total.

Planning to detail her over the next couple of weekends, starting this weekend, will post loads of pictures then
