Is this a Fuel Pump failure: 335i

Hey guys, last night after some spirited driving against an SLK350, i stopped at the garage and filled my baby up. when i presed the start button, the car took some time to start up, thought it was because it was perhaps too hot. This morning when the wife was going to work noticed the same thing, the car seems to take its time once you have pressed the starter button.

Is this the dreaded fuel pump failure. On my ways to Knysna tomorrow morning and am not too sure if the car will cope or whether i may experience problems, unfortunately i have not had time to take it into the dealer

Any comments will be welcome

1. Difficult to say unless you have scanned the car. if you are in Cape Town then Revo can do a quick scan of the car and print the diagnostic results for you, at a small fee.

2. What other symptoms (unusual) can you pick up?

3. Are you getting a limp mode/CELL on the dash?..loss of power etc..

4. If you are driving from CT to Knysna then i think you are taking a risk if you don't have the car checked before your journey.

Here is my thread on the HPFP issues:
