Last of the last was a 2000 model, convertible...not too sure if it was manufactured in 2000 or registered in 2000....could be manufactured in 99 and registered in 2000

Ask him to take it to any car dealer if all else fails and ask them, photos would help to. Im sure the manuals inside the car should tell you something :dunno:

Ask him what shape the lights are, as far as i know the E36 was the only Beemer in SA with rectangular lights, E46 had curved lights and E30 had round, also the B pillar on the drivers side should show the cars spec on a riveted metal tag that shows the recommend tyre pressure levels.

depends on engine size and model ie coupe etc....

Last E36 sedan was a 318is July 1998
last E36 coupe was a 318is May 1999
last E36 cabriolet was a 320i Oct 1999
Last E36 compact was various engines in Aug 2000

first RHD E46's came out around march 1999

Truvalu,

Who are your underwriters? I'm always on the hunt for cheaper insurance... Had a HUDGE fight with OUTsurance the other day about them wanting to charge me DOUBLE what other insurance companies wanted to when I bought the Navara and 320d, this after Ive been a non claiming customer for more than 3 years. :nono:

Complained to hellopeter.com and and 20minutes later 'sorry sir, it was a calculation error in our side' :bs: They are ALWAYS more expensive than anyone else out there. (Sorry for ranting) I paid R580.00p/m for my 330d which I thought was a rip-off anyways.

That insurance cover for a youngster is rather cheap... Hopefully they didnt load your excess in order to give you a smaller premium? Gotta check dude!
