Iron rod fell on my car

Hey guys I'm not sure which section to post this thread so mods are free to move it to the right section. So the gardener decided to leave this iron concrete stomping tool right next to where I park my car in the garage

Sory I'm not sure what happened to the rest of my post, tried posting with Tapatalk. So anyway, as I was saying, I just pulled into the garage about half an hour ago and I just bought new tyres for my car today. As I was offloading them, I didn't see the rod and bumped into it by mistake causing it to fall on my front right fender above and towards the back of the wheel arch:cry: I thought I'd be able to have a bit of a break this month after buying her new shoes:yuck: Will post pics shortly. Luckily I don't see any signs of paint damage.

It looks worse in the flesh than it does in the pics. I'm from el though. Will maybe give the branch over here a call. I am driving up to jhb this weekend but I'll be on a tight schedule and I don't think ill get a chance to see Leonard. Will probably only get a chance to sort it out after next week. Just want to get an idea of what this is gonna set me back.

Me thinks you need a new garden technician after this. Because this one will die a slow death...:fencelook:

But a more serious note. That is a nasty dent. Ouch.

Respray?:fencelook::cry: I was thinking more along the lines of just sucking the dent out or something:fencelook: Yeah could've been a lot worse if it was near the windscreen:bangdesk: Gonna have a word or 2 with the landscaping artist next time I see him:fencelook: We've told him before that he shouldn't leave that thing near the cars as it's unstable when left standing without support:yuck: Anyway I am a little pissed about it, but hopefully it's fixable without breaking the bank:yuck::nonono:

Ok so I got a couple of quotes today and all of them are around the R950 mark including a respray:yuck: Will hopefully try to sort it out either after next week or in January when I go on leave:yuck:

Hey guys. So just an update. I managed to get the dent fixed a few weeks ago at the local dent doctor:rollsmile: They managed to fix it without respraying and they mentioned that it was a huge pain to fix which took an entire day because the dent was right on the edge of the the fender. I'm extremely impressed with the job they did:thumbs: It looks like the dent was never there. There is however a small crease in the paint which is hardly noticeable unless you really look for it, but I can live with that.

There were a few panel beaters that said it would need a respray when I was looking for quotes. Dent Doctor was one of the few that said they could fix it without respraying.

The landscaping artist still works for us:rollsmile: Good work is hard to find and accidents unfortunately do happen and it was a lesson learnt. I'm now super vigilant about the surroundings of my car. I even use the furthest parking at work to avoid people who can't park from coming into contact with my car:fencelook: Probably a bit extreme I know:fencelook:

Glad you got that sorted. What did it cost?

R900 and a day without my car:yuck: Wasn't worth claiming from insurance for such a small dent.

I honestly dont blame you about parking that way at work, people are jealous :argh:s .

My wife hates it, but at the malls I normally use the parking thats furthest away with the least amount of people. Had a few surprise full car length scratches.
