I have a really annoying problem with my iPhone when it's connected to my wifi network at home. The only way I can describe the problem is that the connection hangs after a few minutes of use. As an example, I can be browsing a webpage or using an app and after a few minutes or even seconds the connection just hangs. If I run a speed test it will either not work at all or it'll work but the upload and download streams will be 0mbs. The problem occurs both on my iPhone 4 and 5s. Strangely enough other devices on the network work fine and when my iPhone is connected to other networks it works flawlessly.
I have a TP-Link TL MR3220 3G router with an 8ta 3g modem connected to it. i.e no ADSL. My iPhone works perfectly on other ADSL networks if that makes any difference. Other devices connected to the router include my Desktop PC (wired), PS3 (wired), 2 laptops (wifi) and about 4 phones (wifi).
On occasion the phone works perfectly on the network, but in most cases the connection hangs and the only temporary fix is to switch my wifi off and on or reboot the router. Any ideas as to what the problem could be or is there anyone else experiencing the same issues? The problem seems to be linked to the fact that it is a 3G network.
