Used every iphone since inception, currently on I5 but unsure if going to get I5S - cash price at ISTORE R9990.00
iPhone 6 estimated by June 2014. That 6/8months with any delays.
Being a sucker though might just end up getting it.

Just for interest sake if you guys interested MTN currently have a special till end month on I5S at R429 on anytime 200 with 200mb.
Works out to R10292 or something like that over the 24months. But with minutes and data compared to outright R10k cash tag

That's the package I took but I opted for top up 200 for R20 extra. I'm very scared of out of bundle rates, more so on data:fencelook: PS the promotion includes 500mb of data.

picked up my space grey 16gig 5s upgrade today. actually doing a restore from my 4s backup as we speak.

I dont do much talk, or sms, so I downgraded my contract to 75 anytime minutes, 200 sms's, and 700megs data, R459pm, about R100 less than I was paying on my 4s contract.

the fingerprint scanner. wow, I was not expecting it to work that well.
it really is quicker and easier than using "swipe to unlock", and the not having to put your password in on app store app installs is awesome

Just backed up my iPhone 4 and restoring everything to the new one. Quick question though.... Is it still worth having 2 iTunes accounts given that the SA store has just about everything? I have an SA account and a US account. Most of the apps I use regularly are free apps anyway so I don't mind downloading them again on my SA account...

One thing I noticed though is typing seems a bit more awkward especially typing characters toward the bottom right of the screen as the screen seems slightly narrower compared to my 4. Guess it's something I have to get used to.

So I've been playing around with the finger print sensor:rollsmile: it works really well. Picks up my right thumb every single time but not my left. I think it would be advisable to register both thumbs. I think you can register up to 5 finger prints:thumbs:

I just registered my right thumb, and then the others as I needed them. ended up with both thumbs and both index fingers

Have any of you noticed that the power button is a bit loose and rattles when you shake the phone? It's a bit annoying now that I know it's there Google suggests that it's a common issue... Not sure if I should return the phone, but if it's a common problem then the replacement will have the same issue....

Actually contract prices are roughly the same for equivalent android phones. I was considering the S4 and HTC One as well and the prices were about the same. In fact the top of the range lumia and the galaxy notes were more expensive than the iPhone on contract.

I've had every iphone and been happy, but with 5S as i pay cash for all my phones. I thought wasn't really worth it, coming from a 5 very similar coming from a 4s or something should be amazing.
So last week, i went to buy a Xperia Z1.. hmm.. performs quite nicely very quick, still deciding on android. I might sell it and get a 5S? Z1 is amazing, but a tad big, and complicated.. superb though.

Anyone go from 5 to 5S? think its worth it?

Ok so they they gave me a replacement phone today and it has the same issue with the rattling power button guess it's one of those things you just have to learn to live with. Also had to do a sim swap again to an LTE sim.

Still using my 4 (2.5 years old and hasnt missed a beat), going to wait, either get a 6 or see if the 5S price has dropped a bit by then.

Was just on FNB wesite, they offer the 16 gig 5S for more per month that what mtn charges per month including airtime and data. they must be smoking their underpants.

I picked up one in silver today:rollsmile: Have not set it up or used it yet. Just waiting for the sim swap to go through tomorrow morning.i must say the silver ring around the bezel looks really cool. Not sure if it was like that on the 5 as well. Compared to my iPhone 4 it's as light as a feather in terms of weight. Will comment further once I've set it up
