So the new iPhones have just been launched.

I'm long overdue for an upgrade from my iPhone 4 and still in 2 minds whether to upgrade or not:flyfun:

I like them both. The 5C is better than i expected, its like a slightly improved iPhone 5. I think the iPhone 5S is cool - the CPU and Gfx abilities look really good, and the the new camera as well. If the TouchID 'just works' in typical Apple fashion, then I'll be glad to leave typing in AppleID passwords in the past.

The only thing I think they could have done better was deliver better battery life, but I suppose they decided to balance that with speed improvement of the chipset.

I don't really give a crap what Android phones are out there and what other crap they can do, I like the way Apple build products.

I agree with AdiS, I love my 5 and would not trade it for any Android thing no matter "how much better it is". I watched the one video of the 5S and read some of the specifications and both the 5S and 5C seem brilliant.

I will most probably get one or either when they are launched in RSA. I am guessing they will be around R5000 for the 5C and around R9000 for the 5S.

I agree:thumbs: The build quality of apple products are second to none. What I also like is that their products don't feel outdated once your contract expires. I've been due for an upgrade since December and have not felt the need to upgrade. My iPhone 4 still does everything I need it to do and in the 2 and a half odd years that I've had it I only had to restore it once and that was only because I felt it was becoming a bit sluggish, but after the restore it was fine. My battery still lasts the same as the day I got it. The 5S looks like a worthy upgrade. Will see what the contract prices look like when they launch in SA:thumbs: I have not played around with android products so I can't really compare, but it just feels odd holding a phone that feels plasticky after holding an iPhone.

Also with Adis and Legacy. Love my iPhone 5. Yes, there are other devices out there with better specs but the iPhone for me is more than just technical specs. Emotions are involved too:rollsmile:

I picked up one in silver today:rollsmile: Have not set it up or used it yet. Just waiting for the sim swap to go through tomorrow morning.i must say the silver ring around the bezel looks really cool. Not sure if it was like that on the 5 as well. Compared to my iPhone 4 it's as light as a feather in terms of weight. Will comment further once I've set it up
