He probably means to get new updates he unlocks his bootloader and installs hacked/modified versions of Android. Like Cyanogenmod
My point is. You still have to beg your manufacturer to release the newest version of an OS.
You don't see Apple users jailbreaking just to install the latest iOS.
Anywhoo. On iOS7 removed it after a few days. Solid update but very buggy still for normal use.
Hope they refine a few things like the bloody icons. They seem to combine the best elements of the 3 major OS's out there on iOS.
People can argue about who copied who. Point is. Flat design was there way before any mobile OS had it. If you really wane start talking about copying. Look at every phone launched after 2007. Look familiar.

The Beta has been available for some time now.
Some people that work with me, have been using it more more than a month already.
I however will stay on IOS 6 for a little while longer.

6pm today Greg. 10am California time. They 8 hours behind.
I used the Beta for 2 months. Was buggy as shit but had some really great features. In the end I went back to 6.3 due to the phone constantly freezing and rebooting. This was end of July. So not even 2 months ago. So lets hope they've fixed those bugs, cause man, it really sucked getting a call from someone and not being able to answer due to the phone freezing. Also, loading the camera took about 2 minutes, so if I wanted to get a shot of a cool BMW I saw whilst driving, I best hope he gets stuck in traffic cause the camera would take so long to load up...
Anyway, not wanting to run apple in the ground, the iPhone is amazing, I just will never use BETA OS software again. Looking forward to the update tonight.
