Howzit guys!

I picked up my 135i on Tuesday and need some advise please. Being white, it desperately needs a tint. It has a clear anti-smash & grab tint and when I asked the sales guy about tinting the car, he said that they are legally not allowed to tint the front windows. WTF! Anyway, is there a reputable, BMW approved place I can take the car to to tint all the windows?

Thanks!

When you say front, do you mean front driver and passenger, or do you mean front windshield?

If its front driver and passenger, the salesman is a nitwit.
Almost everyone on this forum has tint on all four windows, including the rear windshield.

How much is legal is a bit like "how long is a piece of string".

Some cops worry about that stuff like its their own car, while others couldn't be bothered.

To be safe, look at 35%, decent darkness while not problematic at night.

Best thing to do, is to go to a tint place and look at the different percentages and make a call from there.

Personally, I have llumar fitted on my car, no bubbling, streaking etc.
Klingshield and a few other brands are recommended here.

Go with a reliable brand, but most importantly, fit somewhere reputable.

You can buy a rolls Royce and have a kak tint job and have a 3 mill rand car look like a teenagers build project.

Thanks bud. Sorry, meant front driver and passenger windows.
I was thinking of 35% as well. I only know of Auto Amour. Not sure how you guys rate them? Who are the "forum user approved" tint guys in the JHB North area?

Do a search on tint here and you should find a few threads. many guys have contributed over the years to the Tint discussion.
many have posted pics showing the different percentages.

Search the forum and you will come right.
