I have been doing quite a bit of R&D on the Golf 7R....edited

mods are:

VW Racing intake
VAG Motorsport DP
VAG Motorsport pnp

Goodness that is fast - what are guys getting with more intensive mods then?

Saw a white one (think it was a G6) - hissing and spluttering in Eastleigh on Saturday. Very nice.

raise:raise: At first I wasn't really a fan of these Golf R's but the more I read about them and the praise they are receiving from motoring journalists, I have slowly come around and am actually starting to really like them. Have to give credit where it's due and VW have built and absolute beast with the Golf 7R! And now with a couple of bolt on's you running sub 4 second 0-100!!raise: Nicely done!!

The golf R400 is based on the golf R... Same engine same box... Some internals apparently were beefed up, but that car does a sub 4s 0-100 from vw... So I'm not surprised with some bolt on mods this car is getting those gains... I'm pretty sure it's with launch control... The car has a slight hesitation when just flooring straight off a line
