I really envy M3 drivers

I will never forget the first time I drove an M. Was at a Ordi dealership in Sandton, was a Saturday afternoon, was bored, saw they had a E36 M3 Coupe on display. Asked for a test drive, they obliged. That test drive changed my life wrt cars. Before that, never experienced a car that could do what my brain wanted to. First time I felt connected to a car.
There have only been two other occasions that have had such a significant impact on me...when I test drove the E46 M and the Z4 M Coupe.

I wonder if I will feel the same way when I will test drive the future FI M's

an M car needs to make you want to rev it with the sound and top end power it delivers...

Diesel will change its character completely and im not sure it will be for the better...

I've been a BMW fanatic since birth due to my dad's love for BMW's.I grew up in a small town so I never got to experience many fancy BMW's but the first time I saw a E36 2door M3 I couldn't believe my eyes.I just knew that would be the ultimate car to own. Many nights where spent dreaming and many days where spent day dreaming and imagining what it must be like to own such a beast. There's just something about a M that makes u feel like a child again with that exiting and warm feeling on the inside

Day 3 and I am still driving the M3 and loving every bit of it. I think my bud don't want to return my Tractor . I have had the best couple of days with this machine. Seems he is also having fun as he told me yesterday, "this thing got some serious torque" and to which my reply was, "Performance software upgrade". The only problem with owning a M3 is, it cannot be used as a daily car. Its like that really expensive watch you got stored away that you only take out on special days.

I give this car a Huge

my buddy and i did the same car swop thing as you not so long ago. he had an e92 m3 and i have a 135i. i had to chase him down in the m3 to get my keys back. obviously it was a lost cause because the 135i was too quick :roflol:

eventually got my keys back. he now drives a 135i too.

:fencelook:

I had exactly the opposite experience :=): Good friend of mine drove the V8 and is now selling his 335i even with the value for money proposition and mod list etc etc to buy a V8. :fencelook: Said he can't get that feeling out of his head. Guess different strokes for different folks.
