I guess I should introduce myself

Hi

I have always been a car lover. I am not particularly biased to BMW, I just love good stock production cars. I owned a Honda Jazz and while it was still quite new, I test drove a Type R. Was not impressed and drove a 120d and was sold on the 20d. I eventually bought a 320d because the price was good and the 3 > 1 for me.

I traded the 320d for a 320i, but sold it soon after buying it because the diesel is so much better. So my current car is a 2010 (2009 spec) 320d - hoping I will keep this for many many km.

This is my dream garage - limited to 3 (sorted wanted to most wanted :) ):
BMW 320d (debatable E90 vs F30)
Ascari A10
BMW M5 E60

Thanks for the forum! I've already learned a lot here.

The Ascari A10 features a modified 4,941 cc (302 cu in) BMW V8 engine producing 625 bhp (466 kW)... so that counts as a BMW. ha ha ha

Mandatory pics. I took them quick - sorry about the dirty car. It rained right after the car was cleaned and we took a longish drive on Saturday.

Please don't say anything about the wheels. It's a sad story and anyway, the 16"ers are more comfy and cheaper to replace.

I don't know how people bring themselves to treating a car like this one was on the outside, but the interior is superb.

My garage has the details.

:) Sorry - have posted a bit and never did the introduction thing. Had to think of a name that wasn't on the front page too.

Thanks for the welcome!

can you pop one of your wheels on a scale for me :fencelook:

Hi Moranor. Sorry - I couldn't weigh this evening. I felt the way I jacked the car wasn't steady enough for the force I needed to loosen the bolts with a socket wrench and my wheel spanner is at my mother's. I don't have time right now. I'll pm you when I've weighed the wheel. The tyre (Pirelli P7) weighs 9.5kg about (I think).
