Im new to the whole Bmw world..
Recently my car has been stolen:thumbdo: and im looking for a new/Used car, Ive tried to do research and I keep getting sent to this forum so i thought its best to get advice from you guys..

Okay so Ive got R150k to spent max on a new car and recently been looking at the 1series 2nd hand.. Ive seen different models of the 1series 116i 118i 120i 130i varies from 2008 to 2011.. All under 100k on the clock and all in my price range..

The question i need answered from you guys is..
On average how much is a servicing and maintence of the vehicle..

If you guys can give me any another infomation as owners of the particular vehicles id really appreciate it..

I apologize if im not been specific guys but id appreciate any advice i get

I would advise you go for the 6 cylinder models...(personal opinion)...120i onwards

Check the history of the car (via motor plan)...that will give you an idea of what was done to the car while in the plan

On the open road with those motors you looking at 8-8.5l\100km (ave consumption...city they can get up to 11

E.g for oil service...oil filter at BMW is R150...Oil +-R600 for 6 litres...labour depends

The 6 cylinders are bullet proof if maintained well

The 116 & 118 run out of steam quick(SLOW)...(unless you a point A to b TYPE DRIVER)
