Hood & Boot springs

Hello fellow E34 fanatics!

Today I was busy looking around for both my bonnet and boot springs..
Firstly I went to Midas (montague gardens)....they did not have...but I
did ask for the price of a set of Osram Nightbreakers which were R95..

So then I went to Diesel Electric (also montague g)...they didn't have and they only way is that I hand my old-one as a sample...so no....

Then I went to Canal Walk SMG to see how much of a mark-up they put onto it....

sooo yeah, no thanks, never in a million years....

Then I had a , I remember MasterParts (Kenilworth), so I paid
them a visit....

as you can see much cheaper :bravo:

I wanted to go check out Bruce's auto spares but they were closed and
nobody was around....:nonono:

so I bought them and just need to fit it, im hoping that the rear ones will fit
in without any hassles....as I did bring the old ones along for comparing-puposes,
the boot springs on the new Febi Bilstein were about 10mm or so longer than the OEM ones....

but the BMs in for repairs so I'll only get it back either tomorrow or monday the latest...will keep you posted

I also bought my boot springs from Masterparts in Kenilworth, the ones on their system don't match the E46 model so I took it back and they swapped them out for shorter ones.

They fit but are a little bit to long, can't let go of the boot lid as I open or close it. Going to order some new ones from the UK and see if they are a better fit.
